What Drunk Cartoon Are You??

Hahaha... I love it!!!

elmo
You are drunk Elmo. You love to have fun and you
drink to lower your inhibitions and allow
yourself to cut loose a little more. You are
always hyper and happy and most people find you
to be very annoying, especially when you're
drunk.

Wednesday's (Belated) Random Poll

This random poll came about from a conversation I had... actually, a conversation I was made to have... with the random chick sitting next to me when we went to see Wicked on Friday. I'm not complaining, it's just that I'm used to being the one who initiates random conversations with random strangers, and not the other way around... anywho, the play was over and my mom and I were just commenting how awesome it was, and random chick butts in with 'oh ya, I totally agree... but the book was 10 times better!' Oh really, random chick? Tell me more. So she goes into this and that and just some of the details of the book, and how they differed from the play, and I began to think, hmmm... could it really be that the book was somehow even better than the wonderfullness that I had just witnessed? Then earlier this week, I got to discussing this topic w/ another person, not a random one this time, and we both agreed that we usually, if not always, found that the book version is better than the movie or play version. Sooooo... onto my belatedly random poll:

Which do you tend to prefer...

the book

or

the movie (or play)?

Please, to discuss...

Ok, so it is not the NEW beetle that I was really really wanting, and it's not a convertible... but, it is a beetle... and it is PINK!!

And, just $9.99, what a steal!!! I bet my SUV is worth at least that. I could even get some $$ back for my trade in!

With priority shipping, I could be driving this bad girl by this weekend... I can't wait, I'm gonna put my order in NOW!!

But... I wonder what '1/72 scale' means... oh well, no matter!!!!

Hi, My Name Is: DUMBO DIPPENFRACK

Ok, you guys... I know this is kinda cheesy, but I thought it was the perfect thing for a Friday... I got this in an email yesterday from a co-worker. I hereby command you all to respond with your 'New Name':

The following is excerpted from a children's book, "Captain Underpants And the Perilous Plot Professor Poopypants" by Dave Pilkey, in which the evil Professor forces everyone to assume new names...

This is how the game works:

1. Use the third letter of your first name to determine your new first name:

a = snickle
b = doombah
c = goober
d = cheesey
e = crusty
f = greasy
g = dumbo
h = farcus
i = dorky
j = doofus
k = funky

p = stinky
q = slimy
r = dorfus
s = snooty
t = tootsie
u = dipsy
v = sneezy
w = liver
x = skippy
y = dinky
z = zippy

2. Use the second letter of your last name to determine the first half of our new last name:

a = dippin
b = feather
c = batty
d = burger
e = chicken
f = barffy
g = lizard
h = waffle
i = farkle
j = monkey
k = flippin
l = fricken
m = bubble
n = rhino
o = potty
p = hamster
q = buckle
r = gizzard
s = lickin
t = snickle
u = chuckle
v = pickle
w = hubble
x = dingle
y = gorilla
z = girdle

3. Use the third letter of your last name to determine the second half of your new last name:

a = butt
b = boob
c = face
d = nose
e = hump
f = breath
g = pants
h = shorts
i = lips
j = honker
k = head
l = tush
m = chunks
n = dunkin
o = brains

r = doodle
s = fanny
t = sniffer

How Honest Are You?

Well... I would personally consider myself to be more than just 'somewhat honest', however, I do admit that at times I have 'stretched the truth'... and... I may have told 1 or 2 white lies in my life, to keep from getting someone in trouble, or to keep from hurting someone's feelings... or to keep me from getting in trouble... ok, ok... so maybe 'somewhat honest' is in fact accurate... so there ya go...

You Are Somewhat Honest

You do tend to tell the truth a lot

But you also stretch the truth on occasion

You figure a little lie isn't a big deal

As long as it doesn't hurt anyone too much!

PS I just realized that this is my 50th post... YAY ME!!!!

Wednesday's Random Poll

... and a bit o' news.

So, I almost piddled my pantalones when I saw the following headline this morning:

Bridgestone Firestone to Pay Ford $240M

Until I realized that

A. The tires on my SUV are NOT Firestone
B. I already got new tires free in the 2000 Firestone tire recall

I would have been a sad, sad panda if I'd found out about a recall 5 days AFTER paying to have my tires replaced.
But enough about my car and my tires... water under the bridge, really...

Now... onto this week's random poll.

A dear friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, encouraged me to do a poll about something 'controversial'... after minutes upon minutes of racking my brain, this is what I have come up with. This is kinda piggy-backing from a conversation I had last night with another friend who shall remain nameless, regarding blogging and web logs in general.

In matters of web logging, do you think you should:

*Feel completely safe discussing whatever you want, as long as it is within the limits of the law, aka 'within the legal limitations of *freedom of speech*'

*Be cencored in some regard (and please list 'for instances')

Tell me, tell me now!

Please...

Seriously, though... DO IT!

=) VS. =(

Stuff That Makes Me Smile:

1. Attending my 'Godmothers' 60th birthday tonight.
2. Karaoke at Leeann's bar later tonight.
3. Seeing the broadway musical 'Wicked' Friday night.
3. Breaking the Ikea seal on Saturday.
4. Screams frighty frightfest Saturday night.
5. Halloween creeping up on us.
6. Murder Mystery Costume Ball & Karaoke Contest later this month at my church.
7. Four Words: Seance Of The Lambs...
8. Halloween parties
9. Being lucky in love this holiday season... we'll see...
10. Good Samaritans

Stuff That Makes Me Frown:

1. Punks who vandalize things simply for the sake of vandalizing.
2. Those punks getting away with what they did.

So, all in all, I have way more things to smile about than I do things to frown about. For those of you who don't know, my car was vandalized on Friday. All four of my tires were slashed with an ice pick (pictures to follow). It would have set me back over 600 bucks... not only does my gas-guzzler guzzle gas, it also costs a truckload to replace tires... I'm just hoping it will last me till next summer when I can get a new VW Beatle Convertible. Anyway, the silver lining was that the guy I dealt w/ at Discount Tire was feeling compassionate, given my circumstances, and gave me the tires at 50% off, and waived the tow fee. Hence, #10 on my list of 'Things That Make Me Smile'.

Ok, I promised myself I would keep this post relatively short, so... I invite y'all to comment and/or post your 'cheers and jeers' for the day...

TaTa!!!

What Are Your World Views?

Well, after my car being vandalized on Friday, I thought my world view might be a little askew... but, once again... this is pretty close... feel free to take the test yourself, and let me know the outcome!!

Your World View

You are a happy, well-balanced person who likes people and is liked by others.
You question whether many conventional views on morality are valid under all circumstances.
You are essentially a content person.

Sometimes, you consider yourself a little superior.
You are moral by your own standards.
You believe that morality is what best suits the occasion.

A New Song... And A New Quiz

Ok, so I've always really liked this song, and I just saw that they added it on the VideoCodes4U website, so I had to put it on here... also, you will all be happy, the website now has a 'autoplay/manual play' option, so I picked the manual play option for anyone who is not interested in Jesse McCartney singing about Beautiful Souls... aaaaahthank you!
I think the quiz is pretty close to being accurate for me, except maybe the money part... I love spending money... but but BUT... I AM trying to be better about how I spend my hard earned dinero, so maybe that affected the outcome of the quiz... who knows?
Nada much else to talk about... went on a 'first date' last night... had fun... let's see how it goes before saying any more...
This weekend will hopefully include a bit of B&P filming... keeping my fingers crossed for that one, but if not, that's ok too... putting off filming is a B&P mantra.

Squinches and Smooches and Pinches and Pooches!!

Wednesday's Random Poll

Earlier this week the news broke that Nicholas Cage and his wife welcomed home a new baby boy. The babies name? Kal-el Coppola Cage. That's right folks, Kal-el... as in Superman's name. Which brings me to today's random poll. Are celebrities just getting out of hand with the names they are choosing for their famous offspring? I compiled a list of unusual names given children by their famous folks:

Victoria Adams/David Beckham: Brooklyn
Woody Allen/Soon-Yi Previn: Bechet Dumaine, Manzie Tio
Forest Whitaker: Ocean, Sonnet, True

Robby Benson/Karla DeVito: Zephyr, Lyric
Marisa Berenson: Starlite
Bruce Willis/Demi Moore: Rumer Glenn, Scout LaRue, Tallulah Belle
Bjork: Sindri
Donald Sutherland: Roeg, Rossif
David Byrne: Malu

So, what are y'alls thoughts?

  • Celebrities have definitely gotten out of hand with their baby naming... they need to tone it down!
  • These are their kids, they can name them whatever the heck they want, for crying out loud!!

Please, do vote.
